Fancy being the kind of HR person people are actually pleased to see?

We're after a People Advisor to be the friendly, practical face of HR for our line managers - helping them handle everything from tricky conversations to everyday questions, without it ever feeling like a policy lecture. You'll be responsible for managing all our HR admin keeping it ticking along nicely too, and you'll have a good eye for spotting when something could just be done better.

You'll already have a few years of HR experience under your belt - maybe as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, or are already an Advisor looking for somewhere different. What matters more than your job title so far is that you're practical, you listen well, and you're comfortable giving a manager honest advice.

A bit about us:

We don't really do corporate HR-speak here. We care about doing right by our people, and we'd rather have a straightforward conversation than hide behind a policy document. If that sounds like your kind of HR, keep reading.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing:

  • Being the first port of call for line managers on day-to-day people questions
  • Supporting managers through performance issues, absence, and other tricky conversations
  • Keeping our HR admin - contracts, records, policy paperwork - accurate and running smoothly
  • Spotting the clunky, manual bits of HR admin and helping us automate or simplify them
  • Helping managers run good performance and development conversations
  • Helping build a culture people genuinely want to work in

What we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years' HR experience in HR Operations or Advisor backgrounds
  • A practical, commercial mindset - you get why HR needs to serve the business, not just tick boxes
  • Confidence to advise managers clearly and, when needed, tactfully push back
  • Comfortable with HR admin and systems, with an instinct for making processes faster and simpler
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards it) is a bonus, not a dealbreaker
