People and Culture Administrator
Permanent, Full-time
Hybrid - 3 days at our Derby office, 2 days working from home
Up to £28,000 plus benefits
About The Role
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised People & Culture Administrator to join our People team. This is a busy and varied role where you'll play a key part in delivering a great colleague experience across the entire employee lifecycle.
Around 80% of your time will be focused on day-to-day HR administration, managing multiple priorities and ensuring all employee information and processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The remaining 20% will involve supporting audits, projects, people initiatives and HRIS maintenance.
This role would suit someone with previous HR administration experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of their work and has exceptional attention to detail.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing offer letters, contracts and contractual change documentation
- Processing all employee lifecycle activities, including starters, movers and leavers
- Coordinating onboarding activities and maintaining onboarding task trackers to ensure a seamless new starter experience
- Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation within HR systems
- Supporting compliance activities, including pre-employment checks and right-to-work documentation
- Acting as a first point of contact for People & Culture queries
- Managing the central People & Culture inbox and responding to colleague enquiries
- Liaising with service desk and internal stakeholders to resolve system access and onboarding requests
- Providing professional and timely support to colleagues across the business
- Maintaining and updating HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Supporting audits, compliance checks and reporting activities.
- Assisting with People projects, process improvements and team initiatives
- Supporting the production of people data and management information when required

About You
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a hands-on administrative role and can confidently balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, with:
- Previous HR Administration experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with confidential information discreetly and professionally
- Proactive approach with a willingness to take initiative and find solutions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Desirable
- Experience using Cascade HRIS
- Experience working within a multi-site or group organisation
- CIPD qualification or a willingness to study towards one
