About Overland

Overland has built its business as a specialist in the design, sourcing and wholesale of branded footwear. More recently it has started direct to consumer sales through the launch of its e-commerce offering. In addition to the Karl Lagerfeld and G.H. Bass brand licenses, Dickies and Bobcat have joined the portfolio and we have extremely exciting launch plans for both during 2026. Overland has also recently launched its own brands Lili Curia and Strike both of which have had tremendous success.

Our Head Office is based in Camden (with a Design Studio near Oxford Street, Merchandising Lab in Kentish Town, E-Commerce warehouse in Nottingham, and our sourcing operation in China). The company plans to move to a new office in Angel, bringing together its London operations in late 2026/early 2027.

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys variety, thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to make a genuine difference.

Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, you will play a key role across the entire employee lifecycle, providing practical HR support while helping to shape and improve our people practices. No two days are the same – one day you could be supporting a manager with an employee relations matter, the next reviewing a policy, improving an HR process or helping launch a new people initiative.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, is not afraid of the administrative detail that keeps a People function running smoothly but also loves contributing ideas and getting involved in projects that enhance the employee experience. As part of a small, collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to influence how we continue to develop our People & Culture function as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage recruitment activity from advertising vacancies through to onboarding, partnering with hiring managers to attract great people.
  • Coordinate offers, contracts, right to work checks and onboarding, ensuring every new starter has a positive experience.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and continually look for ways to enhance the recruitment journey.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
