Role: People and Talent Partner

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven People and Talent Partner to join our growing business. They will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responsible for a range of People and Talent services covering employee engagement, performance management, talent management, recruitment and retention.

General People Partnering & HR Operations

  • Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR queries, escalating to the Senior People Partner or Group People Director as needed.
  • Support with employee relations cases, including performance, absence, and grievance matters, gaining experience through close mentoring.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and compliance across our HR systems (HiBob and Humaans).
  • Ensure data integrity and support the Payroll & Benefits Manager by providing accurate and timely people information for payroll and benefits processes.
  • Support the smooth running of core HR processes such as contracts, reporting, and compliance.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies.

Performance & Talent Development

  • Support managers in carrying out effective performance reviews and feedback conversations.
  • Work with the Senior People Partner to coordinate learning and development activities.
  • Identify training needs and arrange development opportunities.
  • Gain exposure to succession planning and talent initiatives, learning alongside senior colleagues.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring managers and the Head of Talent to support recruitment activity from job brief through to onboarding.
  • Coordinate recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, candidate communications and offer paperwork.
  • Support the delivery of recruitment campaigns and projects, helping to attract, engage and hire great talent.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, ATS records and reporting, ensuring recruitment activity is well organised and up to date.
  • Provide recruitment support and act as a key point of contact during periods of increased hiring or when the Head of Talent is out of the business.
  • Contribute to workforce planning discussions, developing an understanding of future hiring and skills requirements.

Engagement & Wellbeing

  • Support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives across the business.
  • Act on employee feedback to help create a positive, inclusive and supportive culture.
  • Promote wellbeing activities and initiatives, ensuring managers and employees know what's available.

Office & Facilities Support

  • Provide cover and support for Front of House / Office Coordinator ensuring excellent standards for our people and visitors.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

  • Support the Senior People Partner with DEI initiatives.
  • Ensure that HR practices and processes are fair, inclusive, and bias-free.

You'll need to have:

  • Solid HR generalist experience, with good foundations in employee lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Comfortable in managing performance, disciplinary and capability processes.
  • Experience supporting recruitment activities, including interview coordination, candidate management, and onboarding.
  • Strong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Confidence building relationships with employees and managers.
  • A hands-on, can-do approach to both administration and people projects.
  • An interest in learning and developing strategic HR skills with mentoring support.
  • Experience working with HR systems (HiBob, Hummans or similar HRIS).
  • Previous experience supporting office operations and/or line managing others (desirable).
  • CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience); Level 5 desirable.
