Job Description

At Sage, innovation starts with our people. As a global leader in AI, finance and HR software, we harness cutting-edge technology to simplify complexity and drive progress.

We’re now looking for a curious, organised and technology-minded apprentice to join our People Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver an outstanding people experience across every stage of the colleague lifecycle. Working closely with the People Services Manager, People team colleagues and external partners, you’ll play a key role in providing a seamless, value-added service while ensuring colleagues receive excellent support and customer service at every interaction.

Why join Sage as an Apprentice?

This isn’t a passive learning programme. From day one, you’ll work on real challenges alongside experienced colleagues, with structured development, mentoring, and hands-on delivery.

Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office, 2 from home

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be involved in

As a People Services Apprentice, you will play an important role in supporting colleagues across the business while developing valuable HR and customer service skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for colleague queries, providing support through channels such as ServiceNow, Live Chat, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Resolving queries where possible or directing them to the appropriate teams to ensure colleagues receive the right support.
  • Working with external partners to process and manage people-related requests.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the management of colleague data within our HR systems.
  • Assisting the People Services Manager and wider People team with initiatives that support our people strategy and business objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with Payroll to ensure colleague information is accurate and changes are processed correctly for monthly payroll deadlines.
  • Providing basic advice and guidance to colleagues and managers, using company policies and procedures to support decision-making.
  • Supporting the onboarding process by partnering with the Talent Acquisition team to create a positive experience for new starters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
