Overall Purpose of the Role
The People Compliance and Administration Manager is responsible for leading the HR Administration and Compliance function for an FTSE 50 client, including activities such as:
- Right-to-work & DBS checks
- Pre-employment verifications
- Offer processing & onboarding
- TUPE management
- Redundancy administration
- Reward & benefits processing
- HR portal and SAP Organizational Management
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Strategy & Leadership
- Drive accountability, shape strategic initiatives, and build credibility and trust with key stakeholders.
- Lead change management by proposing creative and innovative solutions, encompassing project scoping, risk assessment, and performance metrics alignment.
- Establish strong relationships with client stakeholders and collaborate on process optimization and tool development to support business objectives.
Team Management & Development
- Engage, develop, and mentor a scalable HR Administration and Compliance team (onshore and offshore).
- Conduct performance evaluations against KPIs while ensuring high service standards and accuracy.
- Deliver prompt performance interventions to maintain operational excellence.
HR Operational Excellence
- Coordinate with the client to implement streamlined processes for:
- Pre-employment vetting & DBS applications (including risk management and escalation).
- UK RIght-to-Work compliance (for new hires, TUPE transfers, and visa/immigration checks).
- Employment referencing (for both outgoing and incoming employees).
- Ensure onboarding efficiency for new connections, promotions, and transfers.
- Oversee reorganization requests by modifying contract templates, coordinating with IT and third-party vendors.

Technology & procedural administration
- Maintain HR Portal and SAP Organizational Management functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues by liaising with IT and third-party providers.
- Monitor health & safety compliance, including incident reporting.
Essential Criteria
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to influence senior-level clients and navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems.
- Change Leadership: Strong experience in coaching and mentoring teams through transformational change.
- Client-Focused & Operational: Proven track record in high-performing matrix environments, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and driving KPI accountability.
- Risk & Compliance: Experience in recognizing inefficiencies, deploying change initiatives, and demonstrating pragmatic problem-solving.
- Resilience & Credibility: Ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining organizational trust.
Desirable Criteria
- Degree qualification or equivalent professional certificate.
- Prior experience in RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) or SS (Shared Services) environments.
- Insight into outsourced service provider operations, including vendor relationships and process optimization.
