The Role

As People Coordinator for ITN’s news divisions – ITV News, Channel 4 News and 5 News you will be responsible for delivering professional and efficient support to your business areas and coordinating all People Team administration.

You will fully support the Head of People, People Advisors and other members of the People team in order to deliver an exceptional People Team service to the business.

The role will be required to be in the office at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce all people related paperwork (e.g. contracts, staff contractual change letters, family leave, healthcare paperwork etc.)
  • Respond to day-to-day internal and external requests such as authorising security pass requests and responding to reference requests, amongst other administrative duties
  • Maintain accurate records on all people data on Sage (our People Team system) and efficiently update with all changes in a timely manner
  • Prepare and send accurate information to the Payroll department on payroll changes in line with deadlines set with support from the People Advisor
  • Full administration of new starters and leavers including coordination of first day arrangements for new starters and create and send new starter packs
  • Conduct exit interviews with all leavers and maintain accurate records of feedback and process accordingly on the system
  • Respond to or field all HR queries a timely and efficient manner and manage the People Team inbox
  • Keep trackers up to date ensuring that paperwork is returned and scanned/filed correctly
  • Manage probationary review process referring to the HR Advisor where necessary
  • Manage long service award process, ensuring all eligible employees are informed of their entitlement under the scheme in a timely manner
  • Support the People Team Partners as necessary, including sickness absence management, Occupational Health referrals and family leave
  • Generate reports from the People Team database as needed; book meeting rooms for interviews and events where required
  • Act as note-taker in employee relations meetings
  • Support with talent acquisition team as needed (Sit on interview panels when necessary)
  • Provide support and coordination to People Team projects where required
  • Support with benefits administration, renewal processes and first line benefits queries
  • Support with People System updates and workflows as needed
  • Support other members of the People team when required and contribute to HR team meetings and share learnings and updates
  • Cover for the PA to Chief People Officer and Talent Acquisition Team when required (including using the recruitment system, advertising and shortlisting roles when talent acquisition team are on leave)
  • Any ad-hoc People Team duties as directed by the Head of People or People Partner
