Zizzi is a nationwide restaurant group with 134 sites employing 3200 people up and down the country. This role is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced hospitality environment where you'll take ownership of key People processes, reporting and compliance activities while developing your expertise across the wider People function.

The HR team consists of 6 people including this role and sits within the wider People Team of 13, which includes the Training Team and our Internal Communications Team too.

As our People Coordinator, you'll play an important role in delivering excellent People support across the business. You'll take ownership of key People processes, employee relations, reporting and compliance activities while supporting managers to deliver practical HR solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with previous HR experience who is looking to broaden their generalist knowledge within a busy hospitality environment.

Purpose of Role

The People Coordinator plays a key role in the effective day-to-day delivery of our People operations. Taking ownership of core People processes, data and reporting, the role helps ensure our restaurants and managers receive accurate, timely and practical People support.

You'll work closely with restaurant managers, Payroll and the wider People Team to resolve issues, improve processes and ensure an excellent colleague experience. You will also use data and insight to identify trends and opportunities to improve how we work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own a range of People administration processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with company requirements.
  • Produce, analyse and distribute regular People reports using Excel and HR systems, identifying trends, highlighting risks and providing insight to support operational decision-making.
  • Monitor compliance across key People processes, including Right to Work, holiday, payroll and statutory processes such as maternity and other family leave, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain employee data across multiple HR systems, ensuring data integrity and supporting system updates, audits and reporting requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact for managers and colleagues, responding to People queries and working collaboratively with Payroll, Operations and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Manage low to medium complexity employee relations cases independently, escalating more complex cases to the People Partner.
  • Own and coordinate recurring People initiatives, including engagement surveys, recognition programmes and talent tracking processes.
  • Review existing People processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and the colleague experience.
  • Provide project and administrative support across the wider People Team as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
