People & Culture Business Partner

Huntingdon | 14-Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) | Competitive Salary

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join Hilton Foods on a 14-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This role is ideal for an HR professional with experience in the food manufacturing or wider FMCG sector, who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys building strong relationships across all levels of the business. As a trusted partner to our leaders, you will play a key role in delivering our people strategy, supporting organisational change, driving employee engagement and providing expert guidance on all aspects of employee relations. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who will be a great fit for our team and culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders across the business to understand priorities and develop effective people strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Monitor and analyse people data and KPIs, providing insight and recommendations to drive performance.
  • Support and deliver strategic people initiatives and organisational change projects.
  • Manage a varied employee relations caseload, including complex cases, ensuring risks are appropriately managed.
  • Coach and support managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and restructuring matters.
  • Review and update policies and procedures and ensure they are effectively communicated across the business.
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Lead and support employee engagement activities, including recognition programmes, employee forums and surveys.
  • Support people-related ESG initiatives and compliance requirements.
  • Attend daily factory review meetings and provide proactive operational HR support.
  • Continuously review and improve processes, driving efficiencies and enhancing the employee experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a HR Business Partner or People & Culture Business Partner role.
  • Experience within the food manufacturing, FMCG or similar operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law.
  • Proven experience managing a broad range of employee relations matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using people data and analytics to support decision-making.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (desirable).
