About Bridge Central Team

Bridge Academy Trust is a collegiate and collaborative Trust comprising of 11 schools, where, first and foremost, each school is a place of high quality learning, where young people ENJOY, ENRICH, ACHIEVE & ASPIRE. The core purpose is to provide high quality continuity of every child’s journey through education from 3 to 19, with a community and school-led school improvement approach and long-term sustainable strategy.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven People Director to join our team and lead the development of an outstanding people culture across the Trust.

Working closely with school leaders, trustees and central teams, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our People Strategy, ensuring we attract, retain and develop talented colleagues who are empowered to deliver the very best outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trust's people function and strategic people agenda.
  • Provide leadership across recruitment, retention, workforce planning and talent development.
  • Oversee employee relations, wellbeing and organisational development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective people policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support leaders across the Trust with strategic people-related advice and guidance.
  • Lead and develop the People Team, promoting high standards and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant senior HR or people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Has experience of leading organisational change and improvement.
  • Is an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
  • Holds a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
