People Advisor – Distribution/Manufacturing Site

Our People Advisors are a busy and knowledgeable team, supporting all things people-related on-site. Expect a dynamic role where you’ll handle Employee Relations (ER) issues, coach leadership teams, and ensure consistent high-quality service for internal and external customers.

Reporting to the People Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting, coaching, and challenging line management on absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters
  • Identifying development opportunities to Enhance soft skills and build talent
  • Leading proactive, engaging communications across the site
  • Building strong relationships with unions and agency suppliers
  • Upholding our vision and values, acting as a colleague morale barometer
  • Driving colleague engagement initiatives
  • Covering the People Specialist role in their absence
  • Managing HR projects from the plan
  • Designing and implementing recruitment solutions
  • Proactively managing Employee Relations
  • Supporting HR administrative tasks

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience & Qualifications

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) withcurrent knowledge of employment relations and employment law
  • Manufacturing or logistics experience
  • Proven ability to advisor, support, and coach managers
  • Experience implementing processes with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong customer service skills, with flexibility to adapt communication styles

Key Attributes

  • Confidence in fast-paced HR environments
  • Union-related experience
  • Ability to act independently and think creatively
  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools
  • Project management (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Commercial awareness
