Salary

The salary for this role is £50,000 per annum, plus tips.

The People Team

The People Team is at the heart of the Belfry, supporting our colleagues from the moment they join and throughout their career journey. From recruitment and onboarding to development, wellbeing, and employee relations, the People Team helps shape an environment where individuals and teams can truly thrive.

About The Role

Due to internal progression, we are now recruiting a People Manager to join The Belfry. As a People Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and developing our teams across the resort, ensuring we create an engaging, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. You will partner with department leaders to provide expert guidance on people matters, driving consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

As a People Manager, Your Duties Include

  • Leading a team of People Advisors to partner with all departments within the resort
  • Supporting managers with all aspects of employee relations
  • Coaching and developing leaders in managing their teams effectively
  • Leading recruitment and succession planning activities, ensuring we attract and retain top talent across the resort
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting a positive workplace culture
  • Overseeing onboarding and induction processes to create a great first impression for new starters
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives, including training plans and career progression pathways
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
  • Analysing people data and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Acting as a trusted partner across departments, offering proactive and solutions-focused advice

About You

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a People/HR role, ideally in a fast-paced environment such as hospitality or leisure
  • Ideally be CIPD qualified (not essential)
  • Be confident handling employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Be organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
  • Have a passion for people, culture, and creating a positive employee experience
  • Be confident using HR systems and interpreting people data
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach, working effectively across teams
  • Be solutions-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement
