As a People Manager, you'll be an integral part of our experienced and passionate team, playing a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive culture while managing a range of complex HR cases and employment matters. You'll work closely as part of the wider Operations team, partnering with the COO and Operations Managers to ensure our people strategy is closely aligned with the operational direction of the business. The work is fast paced, varied, and rewarding so no two days are the same!
It's a particularly exciting time to join us, as we're expanding the group through M&A; bringing in new teams, perspectives, and opportunities. Role
This isn't a role for someone looking to tick boxes. We want a People Manager who thinks outside the box, challenges the norm, and isn't afraid to do HR differently. You'll:
- Coach and provide expert advice, guidance, and support to managers on all employee relation matters.
- Effectively manage employee relations casework across the breadth of the employee lifecycle and, wherever possible, partner with our managers to bring these to a successful conclusion.
- Work closely with the COO and Operations Managers as part of the Operations team, ensuring people initiatives support wider operational goals and business planning.
- Participate in HR-related projects aligned with DJH's long-term business strategy, delivering a proactive HR service to all areas of the business ensuring we drive continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of upcoming legislation changes and best practice, to ensure we're compliant with relevant employment laws and company policies.
- Manage and update our HRIS.
- Create and develop new or revised Group people policies in line with legislation to underpin effective and strategic people management.
- Actively coach office leads and line managers across the Group on all aspects of people management, empowering managers to lead through upskilling on people management processes.

Hungry for a new challenge, you’ll:
- Be Level 5 or 7 CIPD qualified, with experience working within a commercial, fast paced multi-site environment
- Have a strong knowledge of Employment Law and best practice HR principles and procedures, with a genuine passion for people and transformational change.
- Thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment
- Love getting to know people and be a confident communicator
- Show resilience, with the ability to cope with ambiguity and changing demands
