About the Role
Join the Global People & Workplace Services team at Pacific Life Re, operating within a global HR shared services model. As a Tier 1 People Operations Coordinator, you will act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, delivering outstanding support across employee lifecycle activities, HR transactions and case management.
Your role focuses on:
- Resolving enquiries using Workday Help, Workday and self-service tools
- Processing queries accurately while maintaining data quality and operational excellence
- Enhancing the employee experience through problem-solving, process improvement and service delivery in a fast-paced global environment

Key Responsibilities
Employee & Manager Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers resolving inquiries swiftly and courteously
- Manage Workday Help cases within defined service levels, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
- Guide users through policies, knowledge articles and self-service resources to encouraged independent problem-solving
- Escalate complex issues to specialist teams as needed
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused support experience
People Operations & Life-Cycle Administration
- Support onsite, internal moves, changes and offboarding processes
- Process employee records accurately, including new hires, promotions, and terminations via Workday and related systems
- Coordinate documentation requirements, screening activities and indoctrination packages
- Support mover and leaver processes, liaising with Payroll, Technology and Workplace Services
- Produce standardised employment documents (e.g., letters, verification requests)
Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and expand self-service knowledge content to enhance case resolution efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the employee experience
- Collaborate on Workday Help workflows, reporting formats and case management enhancements
- Analyze recurring issues to recommend bespoke process or tooling solutions
- Stay ahead of emerging AI and digital service strategy requirements

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
- Ensures payroll readiness by laser-focussed processing amid workforce changes
- Administer benefits inquiries, adhering to policies and deadlines
- Support compliance initiatives, audits and screening validation
- Protect employee data according to data protection regulations and internal policy
Projects, Reporting & Team Contributions
- Contribute to People Operations projects aimed at operating excellence
- Provide insights on service performance metrics, case trends and operational metrics
- Support process documentation, best practices and cross-team knowledge sharing
- Perform additional duties as required
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Sophisticated HR Operations or People Operations experience in shared services
- Hands-on experience with case management/ticketing systems
- Proven customer-service skills under pressure, focus on professionalism
- Attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in HR data handling
- Workday experience is a strong asset; other HRIS systems acceptable
- Proficient in Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
- Ability to prioritise and juggle urgent demands in fast-paced surroundings
- Strong capacity for ethical confidentiality surrounding sensitive information
- Qualified degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration, or allied fields
Desirable
- Experience in global People Operations or shared services setting -боknownowledge of lifecycle administration across diversified geographies (e.g., UK, Canada, APAC)
- Maintenance of SOPs, knowledge articles or process documentation
- Understanding of case metrics, service-metrics and efficiency improvement
- Hands-on exposure to automation, digital transformation or self-service initiatives projects
