People Operations Manager

Reports To: Group Human Resources Director

Salary: £50,000 - c£60,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Home based but must be flexible to travel to Chesterfield, Guiseley, Warrington, Stoke and Gloucester when required.

Role summary

Due to continued growth as an organisation, we are looking for a commercially focused HR leader to own the operational aspects of HR across all our brands which includes 4 acquisitions. Reporting to the Group HRD and acting as deputy when required, the role holder will balance hands-on employee relations management with significant organisational development and change delivery activity. This role is pivotal in Evolution Funding’s continued success through upskilling management teams across the business, acting as a trusted senior partner to key stakeholders, and supporting the HRD in executing a new business operating model following the very recent launch of Centeca, our new overarching Group Company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage Employee Relations with the support of a People Partner including the management of high-risk, complex ER cases across the Group.
  • Be a lead on the people aspect within the execution of the new business operating model, ensuring seamless organisational design (OD) transitions and continuous alignment with group objectives.
  • Partner with the HRD to design and execute long-term HR and OD strategies.
  • When required, lead end-to-end transformation projects.
  • Drive cultural transformation and change management best practices across all brands.
  • Lead HR project delivery with support of the HR team.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across all brands to ensure HR operational alignment.
  • Provide direct line management, mentorship, and development to the People Partner.
  • Deputise as required for HRD.
  • Draft and own key Group HR policies.

Key skills & experience required:

  • Proven track record at a Senior HR / ER level, with deep operational experience in complex multi-site and/or multi-subsidiary environments.
  • Experience in a financially regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional subject-matter expertise in ER and UK Employment Law
  • Commercially focused with demonstrable success in facilitating OD, designing target operating models, and upskilling line management capabilities at all levels.
  • Leadership, coaching & mentoring skills - proven capability in line managing and mentoring HR professionals to achieve success.

Qualifications: CIPD Level 7 preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
