People Operations Specialist

Hybrid – Farringdon, London (1 day per week)
£40,000–£50,000 + Benefits

JGA are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing international technology business to recruit a People Operations Specialist.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptionally organised and proactive People Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in People Operations, Payroll and HR Administration within a fast-paced, high-growth or scale-up environment.

You'll play a key role in delivering an excellent employee experience by supporting our global workforce across the full employee lifecycle, goals management, compliance and recruitment. You'll be responsible for ensuring our people processes, systems and data remain accurate, efficient and scalable as we continue to grow.

We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes, thrives on working to deadlines, has exceptional attention to detail, and can confidently manage multiple priorities independently.

What You'll Do

People Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR, benefits and employee queries.
  • Manage HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, leave management and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation across HR systems.
  • Ensure the employee database files are updated regularly.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, templates and compliance documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes, systems and workflows.

  • Administer and maintain Leapsome, ensuring goals, review cycles, organisational objectives and reporting dashboards are accurate and up to date.
  • Support managers and employees with goal setting, performance reviews and ongoing performance processes.
  • Monitor goal completion, cycle deadlines and employee participation across performance programmes.
  • Produce HR and people analytics reporting, including headcount, turnover, engagement, workforce costs and goal progress.
  • Monitor employee engagement results and help identify initiatives to improve the employee experience.
  • Lead the Career framework project for the company.

Recruitment & Talent Operations

  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications and recruitment administration.
  • Maintain accurate ATS and recruitment records.
  • Partner with hiring managers and external recruitment agencies to support an efficient hiring process.
  • Manage offer documentation and pre-employment onboarding activities.

Global Compliance & Reporting

  • Support HR compliance activities across multiple countries, including right-to-work checks, employment documentation and policy administration.
  • Assist with US state registrations and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Produce regular HR, payroll and workforce reporting to support leadership decision-making.

Experience

  • Experience in People Operations and HR Administration.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, scale-up or high-growth remote business.
  • Experience coordinating UK and US payroll is desirable.
  • Experience supporting performance management and employee engagement programmes.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with confidence working with people data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Rippling, Leapsome or similar platforms.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience improving HR processes, systems and operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement, performance management and goal-setting frameworks.
