ROLE: People Partner (12 Months Maternity Leave Cover)
LOCATION: London
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM:
We are seeking an ambitious, hard-working individual to join our People Team to take it to the next level. You will continually challenge the status quo to ensure that we are the best People team in the business!
In addition to ensuring compliance of all the usual HR protocols, you will also provide a comprehensive, proactive, and efficient HR service by providing information, guidance, and coaching to employees and managers across all employment-related matters, in support of the HR and business strategy, working across all brands within the Inside Ideas Group. Working alongside the Senior People Partners, you will also support the rollout of key People initiatives to help deliver the OLIVER HR People strategy.
This role will be supporting our onsite, office-based, and remote/hybrid teams, varied, fast-paced, and requires someone who can think on their feet, be proactive, be agile, and hungry to learn and succeed.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
HR Generalist Support:
- Serve as the dedicated regional People Partner for employees and managers across Inside Ideas Group in the UK — providing guidance, coaching, and practical HR support on all employment-related matters
- Maintain current, accurate knowledge of UK employment law and ensure all advice reflects up-to-date legislation and best practice
- Provide reports on HR metrics to the business, with clear and actionable insight
Employee Relations:
- Own and manage complex employee relations cases end-to-end — including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness and absence, and capability processes
- Coach and support managers in handling staffing issues confidently and fairly, escalating to the Senior People Partner where appropriate
- Ensure all ER activity is handled with rigour, consistency, and in full compliance with current legislation
Change Management:
- Own and deliver end-to-end change management programmes — including redundancies, restructuring, and TUPE — managing process, communication, and stakeholder engagement throughout
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to identify and support redeployment opportunities within change programmes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
