People Partner (Temporary)

Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a prestigious education institute in hiring a People Partner on a temporary basis. This is a hybrid position consisting of 3 days a week in their London office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers across the organisation, providing professional HR advice and guidance
  • Manage a broad range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, probation reviews, absence management and organisational change
  • Support the review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employment documentation
  • Lead onboarding and induction processes to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and staff feedback programmes
  • Manage probation processes and provide ongoing support to managers and new employees
  • Coordinate learning and development activities, including mandatory training and development programmes
  • Support the delivery of performance review and talent development processes
  • Produce and analyse HR data, KPIs and management information to support business decisions
  • Maintain and improve HR systems, processes and employee communications
  • Support change management and restructuring projects where required
  • Manage apprenticeship programmes and external training providers
  • Support reward, promotion and recognition processes
  • Supervise and support junior members of the People team
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policies
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience
  • Experience with iTrent or similar HR systems
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner/People Partner role
  • Strong employee relations knowledge with the ability to manage complex cases
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience using HR systems and driving process improvements
  • Previous line management or supervisory experience is beneficial
  • Experience within education, charity, arts, not-for-profit or similar sectors is advantageous
