The Opportunity

Our People Team have a fantastic opportunity for a talented on-site People Partner within our Crewe operation.

Partnering with the General Manager you will sit within the site-based leadership team and be integral in delivering and translating our people priorities into practical, site-based people actions. You will bring clarity on what matters, using insights, data and strong relationships to diagnose issues and drive measurable improvements in performance, capability and engagement.

Within this role you will be pivotal in cementing a crucial link between HR and the business, supporting in key people led activities that underpin our ongoing journey of business excellence, change and transformation.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into the regional Senior People Partner you will be a visible and credible partner combining commercial understanding with people expertise to support better decision making across the operation. You will lead and manage a People Advisor where you will embed a culture of high performance, development, engagement and continuous improvement, driving a collaborative and HR led approach to all on-site people activities.

You will collaborate with the General Manager and support on-site Line Managers and Colleagues with the deployment of projects relating to leadership capability, reward, employee engagement, organisational change, workforce planning, performance management, talent management, employee relations and industrial relations. Using your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will drive engagement and influence the General Manager to consider the risks and benefits of their decisions in order to find commercially viable and pragmatic solutions for the site.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an exceptionally talented, brilliant, and driven HR Generalist / People Business Partner with a dynamic and innovative style who will proactively build relationships with onsite leaders and line managers using a collaborative, partnership approach. You will also be a credible commercial operator who is comfortable working at pace in a transformative business environment with significant experience of managing the people life cycle, change and HR projects. Excellent problem solving and influencing skills are also key requirements for this role.

This role does require someone who has proven experience of working in collaboration with unions, on site industrial partners or working within highly unionised environments with a strong understanding of employment law and legislation.

CIPD Level 5 is desirable, however not essential we accept applications from those that are qualified by experience.

Role Details

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Location: On-site, Quakers Coppice, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 6FB
