People Projects & Policy Assistant Gillingham – Fixed-Term Contract (9–12 Months)
[Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) or Part-time (minimum 30 hrs/week) – Hybrid working available]
Farnfields have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a People Projects & Policy Assistant to support key people-focused projects and policy initiatives across the firm. This is not a traditional entry-level HR role—it’s a chance to gain hands-on experience, contribute meaningfully, and develop skills in project delivery, organisational development, and policy implementation.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with the HR Director and the People Group to:
- Support the review, redesign, and rollout of HR policies.
- Help coordinate and deliver strategic People initiatives, from planning to implementation.
- Offer varied, impactful responsibility—with real scope to drive positive change and improve processes within the organisation.
This is a newly created role, offering fresh challenges and opportunities to shape both your own development and the firm’s future.
Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be to:
- Assist in strategic policy reviews and enhancements.
- Contribute to project-based initiatives across HR, people operations, and wider organisational development.
- Support planning, execution, and monitoring of projects with clear outcomes.
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders, ensuring alignment and seamless delivery.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is proactive, organised, and naturally curious, with the ability to quickly learn and see tasks through to completion.
- Has an outcomes-focused mindset, balancing supportive collaboration with project-driven execution.
- Brings a friendly, approachable attitude, fitting seamlessly into our supportive and ambitious team culture.
Ideal candidates may have:
- No direct HR experience—what matters more is initiative, problem-solving, and eagerness to learn.
- A degree or equivalent qualifications (graduates are particularly welcome).
- A background in People Operations, Project Coordination, or Organisational Development, or a strong desire to pursue it.
