People Services Team Administrator – 12 Month Maternity Cover

Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes?

We are looking for a People Services Team Administrator to join our central team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support key people processes across recruitment, onboarding, learning and HR administration within an organisation committed to turning children’s lives around.

This full-time role reports to the Talent Acquisition & People Services Manager and is based on a hybrid working pattern of 2–3 days per week in our Head Office in Salisbury.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.

The post is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys providing excellent administrative support, and can manage a varied workload with accuracy and professionalism.

The role will focus on administration duties, you will play an important role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, learning, and HR Teams ensuring our people processes are efficient and well organised.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the People Services team.
  • Support recruitment processes, including arranging interviews, preparing offer paperwork.
  • Assist with learning and development administration, including booking hotels, and arranging catering, sending joining information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain trackers and systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Respond to routine queries and signpost colleagues appropriately.
  • Support the wider team with general administrative tasks and processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Confident communication skills and a professional, helpful approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence using systems and databases.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support others.
