Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Full Time | 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Help Shape the Future of Our People Systems
ESP Global Services is seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented People Systems Coordinator to support the ongoing development, administration, and continuous improvement of our People Technology platform, centered around UKG Ready.
Working across our HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Performance, and Time Management functions, you will play an important role in ensuring our systems continue to evolve following implementation. You'll help coordinate enhancements, improve user experience, support business change, and contribute to future module implementations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in People Technology. Whilst previous UKG Ready experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. We are looking for someone with the aptitude, curiosity, and organisational skills to quickly learn the platform and progressively take ownership of functional system administration and configuration.
You'll work closely with our UK Project Manager, HR and Talent teams, alongside specialist technical configuration and integration resources based in India, giving you exposure to both business and technical aspects of enterprise People Systems.
What This Role Is (and Isn't)
This is a business-facing People Systems role that combines stakeholder engagement, system administration, project coordination, and continuous improvement.
You Will Be Expected To
- Build a strong understanding of the UKG Ready platform.
- Learn and apply functional system configuration to support business improvements.
- Configure administrator-level settings such as workflows, forms, templates, notifications, approval routes, and permissions.
- Coordinate enhancement requests from initial requirement through to implementation.
- Support testing, release management, and business adoption.
- Produce high-quality documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders across HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Learning, and the wider business.
You Will Not Be Expected To
- Develop APIs or technical integrations.
- Perform software development or coding.
- Design technical architecture.
- Be a UKG expert from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
