Job Description: People Systems Support Administrator (Fixed Term/Secondment) – Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board
Job Overview

- This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 30th September 2026, covering the departure of an existing postholder.
- Shortlisted candidates will need permission from their current line manager before applying.
- Interviews are expected to be held in mid-July.

About the Team
We are the People Systems Information team, responsible for:
- Developing & maintaining BCUHB’s Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system
- Managing Establishment Control processes
- Delivering workforce information solutions
We are offering a supportive role to join our family-friendly, dynamic team as a People Systems Support Administrator.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across Establishment Control, People & Systems, Information, and Workforce teams.
- Ensure service delivery exceeds defined quality standards.
- Manage full Establishment Control process, offering guidance and support to meet KPIs.
- Cleanse and maintain the ESR database, utilising key reporting systems to drive workforce performance reports.
- Cover administrative gaps in the team or assist during emergency deadlines.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in an administrative-related field or
- Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) or equivalent qualifications/experience
- ECDL Certification or equivalent capability in Microsoft software
- Good general education standards
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Establishment Control, ESR/CAJE systems
Experience
Essential:
- Proficiency in administration and NHS HR processes
- Experience working in the NHS
Desirable:
- HR training delivery experience
- Extensive experience working in an HR environment
Skills
Essential:
- Advanced administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks under competing deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills (persuasion, diplomacy, tact)
- Awareness of and ability to adhere to established policies and procedures
