At Verda, we're building a fully featured European AI cloud, covering everything needed to train, experiment with, and deploy AI models at scale.

We are a full-stack AI infrastructure company, meaning we design, operate, and optimize the compute powering modern AI workloads across training and inference. Our infrastructure runs on 100% renewable energy, helping build a more sustainable AI ecosystem.

Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished.

About the role

As we grow internationally, we're looking for a People Technology Lead to own our People systems, data and analytics and make them the backbone of how we scale.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks in systems, cares about leading with data, and wants to build the operational infrastructure of a fast-growing People function. You'll own our HRIS end to end — configuration, data integrity, integrations, and automation — working closely with the Head of People Operations to turn manual processes into scalable workflows, use AI to do more with a lean team, and design a People experience where employees and managers get fast answers and lifecycle moments that feel effortless.

What you'll own

  • Verda's HRIS as the system of record — configuration, workflows, permissions, and data model — kept accurate and scalable as we add people, entities, and countries.
  • The end-to-end People Ops experience, mapping employee and manager journeys, removing friction, and building self-service so people get fast, accurate answers without waiting on the team.
  • People data integrity: standards, audits, and clean numbers leadership can trust for headcount, org design, and planning.
  • Integrations across the People tech stack (eg HRIS, payroll, ATS) so data flows automatically, working with IT, Finance, and external providers.
  • An automated, AI-augmented employee lifecycle: onboarding, changes, and offboarding as workflows designed around the employee, with AI handling routine queries and repetitive work behind the scenes.
  • People reporting, analytics and dashboards on the metrics that matter, with self-serve access for managers and leaders.
  • Payroll and benefits data integrations across multiple countries — accurate and on-time to internal partners and external providers (payroll, PEO/EOR).
  • Systems compliance and data privacy, access controls, GDPR-aligned data handling, and audit-ready records across our countries including responsible use of AI around sensitive employee data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

At our current stage, you'll also roll up your sleeves on broader People Operations topics as they arise, this is a build-it-all environment, and the role will flex with the needs of a fast-scaling team.

What you'll bring

  • Solid People Operations or HRIS experience with real depth on systems and data — you've owned or heavily administered an HRIS, not just used one. We care more about demonstrated ownership than an exact number of years.
  • Hands-on expertise with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob): configuration, workflows, permissions, and reporting.
  • A strong data mindset: data quality, audits, and reports people actually use. Strong spreadsheets competence, comfortable with analytics/data tools, light scripting or APIs a plus.
  • A service-design instinct, you measure success by how effortless the experience feels, not just whether the system works.
  • Fluency with AI tools and genuine curiosity about applying them to People operations — you already use AI in your own work and will via AI automate and improve how the function runs.
  • Working knowledge of HR administration and employment/data-privacy compliance, across more than one country.
  • Attention to detail, a continuous-improvement mindset, and sound prioritization in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills, excellent English, and comfort working independently and owning outcomes.
