Salary: £51,625.00 - £60,803.00 GBP Annual

Location: Glasgow, Darlington or Llandudno

Pension: A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%

About the Role

As a Performance Analysis Lead within the Technology & Security Performance Intelligence team, you will help shape how performance is measured, understood and improved across technology services.

Combining analytical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, you will work closely with leaders and service teams to develop and implement performance frameworks, turning data into meaningful insight that supports operational delivery and long-term strategic goals.

This role goes beyond analysis alone, requiring the ability to partner with stakeholders, understand business context, and translate performance trends into clear actions and recommendations.

You will also contribute to service improvement, performance assurance and continuous improvement activity across the wider Technology & Security function.

In addition, you will provide technical leadership and coaching to analysts, helping to strengthen analytical capability and promote the effective use of performance data across the directorate.

What you Bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in an IT environment
  • Significant experience developing performance metrics, dashboards and balance scorecards
  • Demonstrable experience delivering actionable insight
  • Service Management experience
  • Ability to communicate relevant, compelling stories using the most appropriate medium and how to give complex recommendations at a tactical and strategic level. Ability to present analysis and visualizations in clear ways to communicate complex messages. Ability to communicate negative and positive information to stakeholders
  • Ability to oversee the development and consistency of performance measurement frameworks across multiple projects. Confident ensuring that these frameworks are aligned to business needs and strategy
  • Understand and can teach and supervise a wide range of analysis techniques. Know how to help organisations create and learn from strategic insights and how to apply innovative approaches to resolve problems
  • Demonstrable knowledge in how to give direction on which tools or methods to use and bring insight and expertise to how user needs have changed over time and ensure these are met. Skilled at applying strategic thinking to the problem of how to provide the best service for the end user. Competently consider the political strategy and implications of any analyses and insights
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management, Software Development (inc Agile/DevOps), and Risk and Control Management through work experience as part of a technology function
  • Highly proficient with two or more of the following - MS Excel, SQL, Python, Spyder, PowerBi, AI tooling
