We are seeking an exceptional Performance Director to lead one of the most ambitious long-term athlete development programmes in international motorsport.
Our client’s objective is to build a world-class performance environment capable of supporting the progression of an emerging single-seater racing driver through the international pathway, with the ultimate ambition of competing at the highest level of the sport. It requires an integrated, evidence-based performance system where every aspect of athlete development is aligned, measured and continually refined to deliver sustained competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
As Performance Director, you will have overall responsibility for designing, integrating and leading athlete's complete performance programme. This is a strategic leadership role, providing direction across physical preparation, sports science, nutrition, psychology, recovery, lifestyle management, leadership development and race performance. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
