Performance Reporting Analyst
Mercer’s Investment Solutions, London (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Performance Reporting Analyst within Mercer’s Investment Solutions business based in London. This hybrid role offers up to 2 days of home working, with the remaining days based in our office in London.
This performance and risk analytics-focused investment role entails supporting large institutional clients by delivering tasks such as:
- Producing performance attribution, portfolio analytics, client reports, and ad hoc performance analysis
- Covering bespoke multi-asset and single-asset portfolios
- Responding directly to client queries and participating in client meetings when required
Ideal candidates come from analytical backgrounds (e.g., financial services, asset management, or investment-focused roles). The Performability Reporting Analyst will require proficiency in performance analytics, attribution, portfolio reporting, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and review performance attribution and reports accurately and on time
- Produce investment committee and trustee board reports
- Collaborate with custodians, external managers, and portfolio managers
- Respond to client queries and articulate performance insights clearly
- Draft investment and market commentary
- Enhance processes and efficiency through automation

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in performance analytics, portfolio reporting, and attribution within financial services, asset management, or related investment environments
- Strong technical skills:
- Fluency in Excel (advanced functions, formulas)
- Analytical aptitude
- A numerate degree (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business)
- Ideal qualifications:
- Progressing toward CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement)
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
