Job Title: Performance Reporting Analyst

- Join Mercer’s Investment Solutions team in London, offering a hybrid working model (up to 2 days remote, 3 days office-based in London).
- Support large institutional clients with performance attribution, portfolio analytics, client reports, and ad hoc analysis.
- Work on bespoke multi-asset and single-asset portfolios with direct client interaction.
About the Role
This role is based within performance and risk analytics, where you will:
- Produce performance attribution and portfolio analytics.
- Generate reports for investment committees and trustee boards, including ad hoc performance analyses.
- Engage directly with custodians, external managers, and portfolio managers in supporting clients.
- Respond to client queries and participate in client meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Within this role, you will:
- Calculate and review performance attribution and reporting accurately and on time.
- Produce reports tailored for investment committees and trustee boards.
- Collaborate with custodians, external managers, and portfolio managers to ensure client needs are met.
- Respond professionally to client queries and interpret performance insights clearly.
- Write investment and market commentary to support reporting.
- Identify process improvements and automate tasks to increase efficiency.

- Relevant experience in performance analytics, portfolio reporting, attribution within a financial, asset management or investment-focused environment.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel and analytical proficiency.
- A numerate qualifications (e.g., degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field).
- Ideally, you should be working towards or hold:
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualifications or
- Chartered Investment Performance Management (CIPM) certification.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- A client-focused mindset with a knack for explaining complex concepts clearly.
Desirable Skills (to stand out)
Armed with the above, what will make your application stand out?
- Experience with performance attribution and investment reporting.
- CFA or CIPM certification.
- Programming skills, particularly SQL, VBA, or Python.
