Performance & Reward Manager, Benefits & Well-being
The People & Communications team at KONE fosters business performance through engaged and capable people, strategic reputation management, impactful internal and external communications, and a positive employee experience. This team helps bring KONE’s strategy to life by supporting competence, capability, and culture development, while strengthening the company’s purpose and story for all stakeholders.
About the Role
This is a 10-month fixed-term assignment, due to parental leave, within the People & Communications team. As the Performance & Reward Manager, Benefits & Well-being for the full Europe geography, your role is critical in ensuring KONE’s Reward and Performance frameworks are implemented consistently, effectively, and in compliance with local and European regulatory requirements.
You will contribute significantly to Europe’s pay transparency journey, including preparations for the EU Pay Transparency Directive. Your focus will include:
- Supporting pay equity analysis
- Ensuring data governance
- Aligning processes and enabling managers
- Embedding data and analytics into Reward decision-making
Another key part of your role will be strengthening the Sales Incentive framework across Europe, ensuring plans remain business-relevant, competitive, compliant, and aligned with KONE’s total reward philosophy.

As a key Europe representative in global Reward and Performance projects, you will ensure local market practices, business needs, and compliance requirements shape global initiatives while maintaining consistent execution across countries.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and HR leaders across Europe to ensure global Reward and Performance processes—including job evaluation, merit reviews, global bonus schemes, performance management, and pay governance—are applied effectively, consistently, and aligned with global frameworks.
- Support the implementation and adoption of Reward policies, processes, and frameworks across Europe, ensuring they are followed while remaining relevant to local market, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead on KONE’s Europe Pay Transparency journey, focusing on:
- Data quality assurance
- Pay equity analysis
- Process alignment and governance
- Manager education on compliance for EU Pay Transparency Directive
- Embed data and analytics into the Reward strategy to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations related to pay equity, competitiveness, incentive effectiveness, recognition, benefits, and performance outcomes.
- Provide guidance, support, and advice to managers, HR colleagues, and employees on Reward, recognition, incentives, employee benefits, and performance management.
- Support the alignment, governance, and continuous improvement of the Sales Incentive framework across Europe, working with stakeholders to maintain compliance and business alignment.
- Represent Europe in global Reward and Performance projects, ensuring that European business needs, regulatory requirements, market practices, and stakeholder perspectives are reflected.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and suppliers, ensuring high service standards and leveraging external insights for Europe Reward activities.
