We're looking for a Performance Specialist to join our E-Commerce team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we measure performance, forecast future trends and deliver actionable insights that influence decisions across Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Atlantic Holidays.
Working with cutting-edge analytics tools and AI-enabled technologies, you'll transform complex data into clear recommendations that help us optimise digital performance, improve customer experience and achieve ambitious commercial goals.
The role
As our Performance Specialist, you'll be responsible for delivering meaningful performance insight that enables smarter, faster business decisions.
You'll analyse digital trading performance, develop forecasting models and build intuitive reporting that gives stakeholders a clear understanding of what is happening, why it's happening and what we should do next.
You'll also play a key role in developing our AI-powered Intelligence Hub, helping to automate insight generation and build predictive capabilities that support the future of digital commerce at Virgin Atlantic.
Working closely with Digital, Commercial, Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, Data and Technology teams, you'll influence strategy through evidence-based recommendations and help embed a truly data-driven culture across the business.

Day to day
- Analyse digital performance across Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Atlantic Holidays, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, conversion and customer engagement.
- Produce insightful reporting and commercial recommendations that support trading decisions and strategic planning.
- Design, develop and maintain dashboards, semantic data models and automated reporting using SQL, Python, Databricks and Power BI.
- Develop forecasting models that support budgeting, sales planning and commercial decision making.
- Help shape and evolve our AI-powered Intelligence Hub, creating predictive insights and intelligent reporting capabilities.
- Monitor customer behaviour, digital trends and market performance to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
- Champion data quality, governance and reporting best practice while driving automation and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Digital, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Management and Technology, translating complex analytics into compelling business stories.
About you
You'll be naturally curious, commercially minded and passionate about using data to solve business challenges.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in digital performance, ecommerce analytics, business intelligence or commercial analytics.
- Strong technical skills using SQL, Python, Databricks and Power BI.
- Experience developing dashboards, automated reporting and scalable analytical solutions.
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and predictive analytics.
- A strong understanding of digital performance metrics, customer behaviour and online trading.
- Experience using AI or advanced analytics to generate business insight.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence through data.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to challenge thinking through evidence and insight.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for innovation and automation.
