Do you have strong relationships within the sporting and performance media landscape and experience delivering impactful PR campaigns for athletic, performance sports, or footwear brands?

If so, we'd love you to join our growing team as a PR Specialist – Performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in accelerating the growth of the Skechers Performance Division across the UK & Ireland. As one of the fastest-growing areas of our business, Performance is at the heart of our ambitions, and we're looking for a talented PR professional to help elevate the brand, amplify our athlete partnerships, and create meaningful connections with consumers through powerful storytelling.

Working across print, broadcast, digital, and influencer channels, you'll develop and execute innovative PR campaigns that build brand awareness, drive engagement, and position Skechers as a leading force within the performance sports market.

You'll work alongside athletes, media, influencers, and internal stakeholders to bring exciting campaigns to life, secure impactful coverage, and identify new opportunities to keep Skechers at the forefront of the performance conversation.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns that support the continued growth of the Skechers Performance Division across the UK & Ireland. Create compelling media pitches and stories tailored to key performance sport audiences and consumer demographics. Secure high-impact editorial coverage across performance, sports, lifestyle, trade, and consumer media. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, broadcasters, influencers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Manage Performance product and content calendars, ensuring timely and effective media engagement. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within the UK performance sports landscape. Act as the primary PR contact for Skechers athletes, supporting appearances, interviews, partnerships, and media opportunities. Represent the brand at press events, trade shows, race events, product launches, and brand activations. Collaborate closely with Corporate Marketing, Sports Marketing, European markets, and international teams to maximise PR opportunities and campaign impact. Monitor campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve results.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in Athletic, Performance Sports, or Footwear PR. Established relationships with key performance and sporting media contacts. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and impactful stories. Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with athletes, media, influencers, and senior stakeholders. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management capabilities. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Passion for sport and a genuine understanding of the performance sports industry. Professional, confident, and diplomatic in all interactions. Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities. Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally internationally. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events when required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Meltwater is desirable.
