Performing Arts Technician – Bablake School
Maternity Cover – 1 Year fixed term

Salary: Grade 5 (£23,316 - £27,538)
Role Details
This role is advertised on an annualised hours basis. The role is all year round, and equivalent to 35 hours per week. Hours will be notified on a half termly basis, however to help with planning, significant events such as productions are scheduled as early as possible.
This is usually done at the start of the year and schedules are provided although the number of hours per week may vary depending on show commitment etc., the number of hours per year is set. Flexibility is essential as you will be required to work evenings and weekends to support with performances and commercial bookings, as well as to work across all Foundation sites.

Bablake is a vibrant school supported by a diverse and enthusiastic community of staff, pupils, parents and alumni.
We are looking to recruit a talented, creative and energetic technician for this successful department. Performing Arts is a huge part of the school life at Bablake, with a flourishing and ambitious department that encompasses both Music and Drama across the junior and senior schools. There are two major senior school shows each year, in addition to junior school shows and musical performances every half term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who enjoys working with young people, as part of the role will be pupil-facing, running a technician club, which will develop the set designing, lighting and sound technicians of the future!
