About the Role
The peripatetic home manager is not required to have nursing qualifications. They will be an experienced, former CQC-registered manager responsible for the day-to-day running of a Gold Care Home, demonstrating commitment to our values, objectives, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. This includes:
- Effective management of staff
- Achievement of agreed financial targets
- Meeting the CQC essential standards
- Delivering a high-quality, safe, and responsive care service
- Promoting person-centred, joyful, and fulfilling care for residents

This opportunity is for a Peripatetic Home Manager supporting our homes in the Midlands region:
- Milton Keynes
- Peterborough
- Birmingham

Job Package
- Starting salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Generous annual bonus
Responsibilities
Success in this role demands delivering excellence across the following key areas:
- Ensuring a high-quality residence service for all residents
- Building and maintaining occupancy (essential to revenue and sustainability)
- Recruiting, training, and retaining a professional and skilled staff team
- Compliance with CQC standards, business governance, and operational policies
- Managing financial performance (profit & loss) within assigned budgets
- Driving occupancy growth through proactive, innovative marketing strategies
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
✅ A proven track record in successfully managing well-rated (Good) CQC care homes ✅ A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) ✅ Compassion and assertiveness as an inspirational leader ✅ Ability to implement continuous improvement in care quality ✅ Strong operational management and team motivational skills ✅ Experience in occupancy growth strategies ✅ Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) ✅ Capacity to foster strong relationships with internal and external partners ✅ Independence and ability to manage large teams against CQC requirements
