Notice Period Starting from the date of your appointment, employees are required to provide the Council with a statutory minimum notice period.

About the Role
The Teacher role at Paxton Nursery in the Education Directorate is vital for improving life chances for all children and young people. As part of Fife Council, you will be responsible for:
- Leading learning within your classroom

- Contributing to improvements across the school’s wider community

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality, inclusive education for children.
- Ensure positive social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all learners.
- Lead lessons aligned with educational standards while responding to individual learner needs.
- Develop supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Embrace flexibility in addressing unpredictability in educational settings.
- Promote teacher professionalism through contributions to teamwork and evidence-based practices.
- Engage proactively with support staff, external bodies, and parents.
- Create a classroom environment where diverse learners feel valued.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in Primary education (for Kindergarten 1 Teacher roles).
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and evidence of positive practice impact.
- Ability to meet and model labour, skills, and capabilities relative to entry on standard terms. (For further clarification, consult the relevant job grade).
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership (required prior to appointment).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in early years education or similar environments.
- Familiarity with child play principles, immunisation, and delivery of high-quality learning at alternative education levels.
