Perishable (Produce & Culinary) UK Retail Floor Team Member - Full Time

Store Team Member – Generalist

About the Role You will be cross-trained to work across all areas of the store, including:

  • Cashiering / Self Check Out
  • Online order fulfilment
  • Food and drink production
  • Product-facing, including shelf stocking, and maintaining retail standards

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer needs efficiently
  • Support the audit of:
    • Store tags
    • Signage accuracy
    • Scale-priced items
  • Rotate stock and safely remove out-of-date products
  • Stay informed about new product arrivals and their correct placement
  • Ensure highest retail standards are consistently met
  • Follow all Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in fiscal period and quarter-end inventories
  • Communicate relevant store updates to leadership
  • Stay informed of company- and store-level news from management
  • Complete all mandatory training on time
  • Foster a positive work environment
  • Demonstrate courteous and professional phone etiquette
  • Adhere to health, sanitation, food safety, organic guidelines and safety protocols
  • Attend all scheduled leadership meetings, including daily huddles

  • Ability to perform all job functions independently or with adjustments

Desired Work Experiences

  • Retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

  • Lifting: Must safely lift 50+ pounds
  • Workday tasks:
    • Standing/walking 6–8 hours in an 8-hour shift
    • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling
    • Body movements: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching
  • Environmental exposure:
    • FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
    • Temperatures across ranges:
      • Below freezing (<32°F)
      • Refrigerated (32–40°F)
      • Hot (>90°F)
    • Possible work in wet and cold environments
  • Flexible schedule required:
    • Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Wage range: £14.80 – £16.40/hour (adjusted for experience)
