Personal Advisor - 15+, BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
Our 15+ Team currently has an opportunity for a personal adviser to join them. The 15+ Team work to achieve the best long-term outcomes for the young people they work with. The team strives to support young people making their transition into adulthood an easier and manageable experience.
As a personal adviser in the 15+ Team you will be expected to work in partnership with young people, their carers and other professionals to complete high quality assessments in order to develop outcome focused Pathway Plans. You will need to work alongside social workers supporting care experienced young people undertaking needs assessments with a focus on transition. You will need to have a genuine interest in working with young people, committed to supporting positive outcomes and a person centred approach to your role. You will become part of an established and settled team. You will receive regular supervision, support and guidance and become part of a motivated and committed team.

The successful applicant must possess a recognised qualification in social care and experience of working with young people aged between 15 and 25.
The service incorporates both the requirements of the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 along with safeguarding our most vulnerable children and adults.
Bridgend local authority utilises the Signs of Safety model to guide practice and is outcomes focussed in its approach. It will be important for the post holder to have experience in these ways of working or be open to engaging learning and demonstrating transferable skills to enable them to practice using this methodology. The local authority is committed to provide comprehensive training to all staff in using the Signs of Safety model.
You will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring where required. Additionally, you will be able to further your career with both development and promotional opportunities.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
