Role Overview
The Personal Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive personal support to the Director and his family. The role requires exceptional discretion, initiative, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently while exercising sound judgement across a range of personal and family matters. The PA works alongside the Director’s EA who leads on business and professional matters. The role is weighted approximately 70% personal and family support and 30% EA type duties. The two roles operate in close partnership and cross over regularly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a complex, fast-changing personal diary across family, household, and personal commitments, exercising proactive judgement to prioritise and protect the Director's time.
- Maintain oversight of recurring personal commitments, key dates, and family milestones across the Director and family's calendar.
- Oversee the smooth running of the Director's household, acting as the central point of coordination for domestic matters including contractors, deliveries, maintenance, utilities, and household staff where applicable.
- Manage children's school schedules, extra-curricular activities, term dates, uniform requirements, event attendance, and parent communications, ensuring nothing is missed.
- Coordinate family activities, travel, social commitments, and personal appointments on behalf of the Director, his wife, and family members.
- Liaise with household service providers and personal contacts on behalf of the family, handling queries and instructions professionally and with discretion.
- Plan and book comprehensive travel itineraries for family and personal trips, including flights, accommodation, transfers, visas, currency, and all associated logistics.
- Organise and oversee personal and family events, including logistics, catering, guest management, and on-the-day coordination.
- Draft and manage personal correspondence with personal service providers, advisors, and contacts on behalf of the family.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Director and their family. This is a truly personal role, focused mostly on managing family, household, lifestyle, and personal matters, working in close partnership with both the Director and their wife. You will operate alongside and closely with the Executive Assistant.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience supporting at director level and families, with a natural ability to anticipate needs, maintain absolute discretion, and manage a complex and ever-changing workload with professionalism and confidence.

- Solid previous experience as a Personal Assistant supporting a senior individual, private household, or family environment.
- Proven experience managing household operations, family logistics, school coordination, complex travel arrangements, and day-to-day personal administration.
- The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and proactively resolve issues before they arise.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Absolute discretion, trustworthiness, and integrity when handling sensitive personal and family matters.
- A calm, resilient, and flexible mindset, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability, taking initiative without requiring direction.
- Confidence working closely with both the Director and their wife, building trusted relationships, and acting as a dependable point of contact.
Desirable:
- Experience within a private family office, luxury household, or similarly high-touch environment.
- Familiarity with household management, domestic staff coordination, and the development of efficient household systems.
