About the Role
As one of three Personal Assistant and Member Services Officers, your responsibility is to provide proactive, wide-ranging support to Members of the City of London Corporation, with a special focus on Member Services activities.
Core Responsibilities
Your role will include:

Leading the Member Learning & Development Programme
- Deliver a continuous improvement programme enabling Members to perform their best for local residents, businesses, and visitors.
- Under the Member Learning and Development Strategy (2025–2029), identify and prioritise:
- Essential training needs (mandatory)
- Recommended training needs (encouraged)
- Requested training needs (Member-led)
- Monitor participation to ensure value for money and programme effectiveness.

Supporting Standards and Compliance
- Act as a seconder to officers within our Standards regime, ensuring smooth operations through:
- Arranging meetings
- Circulating information
- Serving as the primary point of contact
- Clerk the dedicated Member Development & Standards Sub-Committee, providing:
- Preparation of reports
- Agenda and minutes drafting
- Governance advice

- Member Allowance Scheme
- Member Transport Policy
- Supporting amendments or new policies
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects while aligning with broader governance frameworks.

- Assist PA and Member Services Officer colleagues by providing:
- Personal assistance to Senior Elected Members of the Court of Common Council
- Administrative and diary management support where necessary.

Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate concrete experience in:
✔ Creation, delivery, and administration of learning and development programmes (or comparable initiatives) within a similar setting.
✔ Strong organisational and flexible approach, with proven autonomy and initiative.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced administrative systems.
