Personal Assistant for Ben in Barrhead
Location: Barrhead, East Renfrewshire Hours Available: 15 hours and 20 hours per week Shift Pattern: 10 AM to 3 PM (including overnight support) Driver Required: Automatic車 Type: Part-time Permanent Salary: £14.05 per hour (£13.45 + £0.60 market supplement) Closing Date: 31 Jul 2026
About The Role

- Support needs vary for each individual, so your role could include:
- Assisting with personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support
- Expanding social networks and connections
- Building a bespoke team around the person supported, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and aspirations are met

Ben lives in his own home but requires support with daily living tasks. He’s an outgoing, active individual with a love for:
- Nature walks (he enjoys puddle-splashing and the countryside’s ever-changing landscapes)
- Trampolining, gym fitness, and cycling
- Family time—he’s very close to his loved ones
A typical day might involve:
- Supporting Ben with personal tasks, housekeeping, and gardening
- Joining him for walks in the countryside or leisurely drives
- Maintaining a structured, calming routine based on his interests
Ben also has Autism and communicates via visual aids.
