- Flexible format (e.g. 1 hour morning support, Monday–Sunday).

About the Role
A client in Thurmaston requires a Personal Assistant (PA) to accompany and support them in daily life. They live independently and need assistance with multiple tasks, including basic care, mobility, and social participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care:
- Assisting with washing and dressing
- Morning routines (e.g. hygiene, meal prep support)
- Domestic Support:
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry/ironing
- Accessing the Community:
- Shopping (grocery/pharmacy)
- Accompanying to temple (religious practices)
- Outings to parks for walks
- Visiting local places of interest
- Mobility Aid Use:
- Assisting with Zimmer frame and rollator for short distances.
- Support with wheelchair use for longer distances or outdoor travel.

Ideal Candidate
The client speaks primarily Gujarati (limited English)—fluent Gujarati communication skills are highly advantageous, but proficiency is not strictly mandatory if welcoming to non-Gujarati speakers.
The client details their background and preferences:
- Background: Former yoga practitioner (enthusiastic about physical activity).
- Lifestyle: Strong interest in shops, temples, and nature walks.
- Health Note: Has had a stroke with residual:
- Hand weakness affecting daily tasks.
- Reduced mobility.
- Type II diabetes (due diligence about dietary preferences preferred).
Requirements
✅ Essential:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (mileage reimbursed by client).
- Reliability & flexibility to fit the client’s ד֩ Caldwell, willingness to assist at home.
- Empathy & respect for privacy, dignity, and values.
- Commitment to clear communication (Gujarati helpful but not mandatory).
- Completed interview, reference check, and DBS.
