Compensation: £24,500 - £28,000 Depending on Experience + Benefits

The role

As a Personal Assistant to the Directors, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Executive Suite, supporting senior leaders at the heart of a business that delivers critical programmes across defence, aerospace and engineering. Working alongside a small and supportive team, you'll provide high-quality administrative and executive support, helping Directors operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Every day will bring new challenges, varied responsibilities and the chance to develop your skills while making a real impact on projects that support national security and public infrastructure.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Manage complex diaries, coordinating schedules and resolving competing priorities.
  • Oversee Director inboxes, ensuring timely responses and follow-up actions.
  • Arrange internal and external travel and supporting logistical requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings, preparing agendas and collating supporting documentation.
  • Support Directors with planning, organisation and delivery of key business activities

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential Experience Of The Personal Assistant To The Directors

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or executives in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism and a proactive approach

Qualifications For The Personal Assistant To The Directors

Essential:

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / Grade 4 or above.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or Customer Service Practitioner.

Desirable:

  • Additional administration, business support or executive assistant qualifications.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
