Personal Assistant to the Managing Director - Korean Speaker - 12 Month Contract
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Personal Assistant to join us at Samsung Research UK on a 12-month contract basis.
You will provide a proactive and high standard of support to our Managing Director, while managing their diary to ensure that appointments and meetings are efficiently prioritised, allowing them to make maximum use of operational time. This is a full-time role requiring flexibility and commitment in an interesting and varied environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Act as the first point of contact, handling correspondence and phone calls with professionalism and discretion.
- Diary Management: Efficiently manage the Managing Director's calendar, prioritizing appointments and meetings to maximize productivity.
- Travel Coordination: Arrange travel, transport, and accommodation for domestic and international trips.
- Event Organisation: Plan and execute meetings, events, and conferences with attention to detail.
- Task Reminders: Proactively remind the Managing Director of key tasks, deadlines, and commitments.
- Document Preparation: Type, compile, and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence with precision.
- Legal Administration: Assist with grammatical reviews of legal documents, submissions to internal systems, and monitoring legal matters.
- Database Management: Maintain and update databases and filing systems for optimal organization.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with staff, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Expense Management: Process and file expense reports accurately and promptly.
- HR Support: Provide administrative assistance to the HR team as needed.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Undertake additional duties to support the Managing Director effectively.

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record in a similar executive support role.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Korean (written and spoken) is essential.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of English grammar.
- Discretion & Trustworthiness: Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Willingness to work additional hours or be on-call as required.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proactivity: Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Tact & Diplomacy: Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard software packages and the ability to learn company-specific tools.

Contract Details
- Type: 12-month contract via a preferred recruitment agency.
- Location: Samsung R&D Centre, Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, UK.
- Working Arrangement: On-site (remote work is not applicable for this role).
- Right to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this outsourced contract.
