PURPOSE
To provide a safe and dignified environment whilst caring for vulnerable individuals with SEN or Learning difficulties in a person-centered approach according to individual care plans. Building positive relationships and setting a impressionable standard of VCARE24 whilst Implementing the company's Policies and procedures in your working day and working in line with CQC regulations.
Principal Accountabilities
PLEASE NOTE DECISION MAKING MUST BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and/or vulnerable adults.
- STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS- as per statutory requirements as specified in the CQC Regulations, Quality Standards and Health and Social Care Act 2008, Ofsted, Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Must comply and follow VCare24’s Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Must understand, record and utilise the computerised and manual filing systems.
- Be flexible and resilient in line with the expectations and nature of the role.
- Provide a safe and dignified service, to all individuals in our care. Our service includes supporting individuals with the following:
- Personal care i.e. bathing and toileting individuals.
- Specialist care for individuals E.g. PEG feeding, hoisting medication administering
- Communication needs of individuals – e.g. PECS.
- Support with household tasks
- Dealing with challenging behaviors of individuals
- Communication – to demonstrate accurate record keeping to contribute towards social care meetings, contribute towards care planning and assist maintaining up to date recording of information.
- To be aware of and participate in own personal development by attending and contributing to supervision sessions, training courses and other departmental forums. To keep abreast of development within the profession.
- Refers to line management/safeguarding officer upon any concerns, suspicions, evidence or allegations in relation to child protection in accordance with Children and vulnerable adults Safeguarding Board guidelines to ensure the safety and welfare of the children and vulnerable adults, following policy and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality within the workplace and ensure all sensitive information is correctly stored. e.g., locked cabinets, under password protection, security bags etc. Following relevant policies and procedures. Comply with UK Data Protection act, UK GDPR act and all other relevant legislations, including Vcare24’s policy and procedures.
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation places responsibilities for health and safety as your employer and you as an employee of VCare24. In addition to VCare24 overall duties, the post holder has personal responsibility for their own health and safety and that of other employees.

- All staff are required to attend a full in-depth 10-day induction training regime. Where both practical and theoretical work is completed in this time.
