Salary: £27,259 per annum FTE (prorated to part-time hours)

Contractual hours: 37

Basis: Full time and part-time hours available / Term time only

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Personal Development Tutor (PDT) Team at Coastland College, and are looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals to join us on a full or part-time basis across both our Weymouth and Kingston Maurward sites.

This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging group tutorial sessions, as well as conduct 1:1 progress reviews to support students in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to succeed. You'll play a vital role in helping students stay on track, overcome barriers, and prepare for positive destinations after college.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver impactful tutorial sessions that support students' personal development and college engagement.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 progress reviews, offering challenge, motivation, and wellbeing support.
  • Assist students with employability skills including CV writing, job applications, and interview prep.
  • Promote high standards of attendance, behaviour, and engagement.
  • Identify wellbeing concerns and refer students to internal support services as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve and evolve tutorial resources and delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date safeguarding and Prevent knowledge and embed it into sessions.
