Job Title
We are seeking experienced Working at Height Test & Inspection Operatives to join our growing team.
About the Role
This is a predominantly site-based role, with the majority of work located across London. However, candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home when required to support projects throughout the UK. We will also require this person to be able to travel to our head office in Southend for admin working days.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, testing, and inspections of safety-critical Working at Height systems and equipment, including lifeline systems, guardrails, and rope access (abseil) installations, ensuring full compliance with current industry standards and regulations.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have demonstrable experience working at height. Due to the specialist nature of the role, only candidates with relevant industry experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, testing, and inspections of safety-critical Working at Height systems and equipment.
- Install, inspect, and maintain a range of access and fall protection systems, including lifelines, guardrails, and abseil systems.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Travel throughout the UK to support client requirements, including some overnight stays when necessary.
- Accurately complete inspection reports, maintenance records, and all associated documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, industry standards, and company policies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience within the Working at Height industry is essential.
- Physically fit, with the confidence and capability to work safely at height.
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and away from home when required.
- Honest, trustworthy, and dependable, with a professional attitude at all times.
- Good standards of literacy and numeracy, with the ability to accurately complete reports and documentation.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- IPAF (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
- PASMA (Mobile Access Towers).
- Additional Work at Height operational experience.
- Training in the use of harnesses and lanyards.
Working Hours
Usual hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. This role may require some evening and weekend working.
