About the Role

Are you an accomplished Personal Injury Lawyer ready to take the next step in your career?

Join Thompsons Solicitors and become a key player in our Multi-Track Accidents team, handling high-value, complex accident claims.

This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from initial investigation through litigation to resolution, with the opportunity to progress high-value claims (typically £250,000–£1,000,000).

Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Lawyer, you will:

  • Lead and manage complex high-value claims, encompassing road traffic collisions, workplace incidents, and public liability cases.
  • Develop case strategy, instruct counsel and experts, and prepare for Jurisdiction Seminar Meetings (JSMs) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
  • Ensure cases are handled efficiently while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, providing technical guidance and promoting best practice.
  • Work collaboratively within the department to support operational and performance objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Qualified solicitor or legal executive with strong litigation experience in multi-track personal injury claims.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex high-value cases (£250,000–£1,000,000) with autonomy and judgment.
  • Proven litigation skills, excellent organisation, and ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Strong client care standards and file management.
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver high-quality client outcomes.

Desirable Trait:

  • Experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Familiarity with modern disciplinary protocols (Use of Force, Violence Reduction Act, etc.).
