Job Opportunity: Personal Tax Manager

Role Overview

Our client seeks a talented Tax Manager - Personal Tax who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces the chance to tackle complex challenges. Your work in Personal Tax will go beyond the numbers; it's about building meaningful client relationships, understanding their businesses, navigating risks, and delivering insights that drive real results.

Main Duties

  • Manage portfolio of clients, meeting their requirements and maximising fee income.
  • Manage the production of clients' personal tax computations.
  • Plan, control, and review work carried out by team members to ensure work is completed within time frames and budget.
  • Respond to tax queries from Partners/Directors/Managers.
  • Carry out consultancy work when required.
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate.
  • Design and implement standard letters/systems to improve the efficiency of the Tax Department.
  • Spot opportunities for relevant advisory work with existing clients.
  • People management, training, mentoring.

What Our Client Seeks

  • ICAS, ACA or CTA qualified with proven UK PERSONAL TAX experience in practice.
  • Varied, practical and technical tax knowledge.
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Able to manage/ train junior members of staff.
  • IT packages: Excel, tax software, Word.
  • Communication skills.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness / client focus.
  • Problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
