Hybrid Working | Progression to Senior Manager

Looking for a Personal Tax role where you'll have the autonomy to manage your own portfolio, the support of an experienced team, and genuine opportunities to progress?

We're working with a highly respected mid-tier accountancy practice in High Wycombe that's continuing to grow and invest in its people. With an outstanding reputation, a collaborative culture, and a diverse client base, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax professional looking for a long-term move.

The Role

You'll manage a varied portfolio of private clients while working closely with Partners on a mixture of compliance and advisory projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of HNWIs, directors, business owners and trusts
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and ensuring compliance deadlines are met
  • Providing tax planning and advisory support across a range of personal tax matters
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships
  • Supporting and reviewing the work of junior members of the tax team
  • Liaising with HMRC and resolving technical queries
  • Working closely with Partners on more complex advisory projects as your role develops

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
