Personal Tax Senior – Kent
TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior to join a highly regarded tax boutique and chartered accountancy practice near West Malling.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Tax Senior or Tax Supervisor looking to take on a hands-on role within a well-established firm known for its strong reputation across the Kent market.
About the Role
You’ll work in a key personal tax position, reporting to a Partner while supporting junior colleagues. This role offers the chance to take on meaningful responsibility while benefiting from strong guidance and development opportunities.
Our client is an independent tax planning and business consultancy, specialising in advice for:
- High net worth individuals
- Owner-managed businesses
- Property investors
- International clients

Responsibilities
The Personal Tax Senior will be responsible for:
- Planning and supervising the preparation of personal tax returns
- Managing all aspects of personal tax compliance for a client portfolio
- Maintaining a high standard of service and advice for clients
- Identifying tax planning opportunities
- Leading weekly planning and scheduling meetings
- Supporting, supervising, and motivating junior staff
- Reviewing work from other team members as needed
- Liaising with professional bodies and external advisers
- Handling ad hoc tax work beyond standard compliance
- Monitoring time records, fees, and budgets
- Preparing advice letters, proposals, and client presentations
- Writing a monthly article for the firm’s website or social media
- Providing on-the-job training to junior members
- Staying technically up to date

Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
- Have 3 to 5+ years' experience in personal tax
- Be able to manage a personal client portfolio independently
- Be a strong communicator with a client-focused, professional approach
- Have strong organisation, attention to detail, and methodical working practices
Benefits
- Salary range: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
