Personal Trainer (Part Time) – Permanent Contract

Location: Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hours: 8 core hours per week (flexible, with added personal training sessions available) Salary: £29,045.12 – £39,241.28 OTE pro rata, increasing with client growth Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Fitness / Wellbeing

This part-time role as a Personal Trainer suits ambitious, caring, and confident professionals who enjoy connecting with clients to encourage healthy lifestyles. You’ll be a natural communicator who thrives on listening, motivating, and delivering bespoke fitness solutions.


Your Responsibilities

As a Personal Trainer, you will:

  • Support clients in achieving their fitness goals through tailored programmes as part of the Personal Best system
  • Lead group and private training sessions, including inductions and consultations
  • Perform high-quality gym duties, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
  • Work 8 core hours per week (primarily gym floor) while having opportunities to incrementally build your personal training schedule
  • Provide health assessments, motivational coaching, and lifestyle advice using access to Nuffield Health’s full range of wellbeing services
  • Take advantage of career progression into roles such as Wellbeing Lead or management
  • Attend optional upskilling opportunities, including:
    • Les Mills instructor training
    • Group cycle instruction certification
    • Additional continuous professional development (CPD)

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer (or equivalent, such as CIMSPA Practitioner level requirement)
  • Hold a current CIMSPA membership at Personal Trainer Practitioner level
  • Evidence of active membership must be provided during the recruitment process – failure to do so will prompt the withdrawal of your application
  • Bring confidence, energy, and Approachability – being capable of connecting with and motivating clients from diverse backgrounds
